Since joining the State Office of Criminal Investigation Baden-Württemberg (LKA Baden-Württemberg), Sandra Staiger has played a key role in establishing forensic 3D surveying as a standard method for crime scene documentation. She introduced terrestrial laser scanning to the LKA and established operational workflows for forensic 3D surveying. In addition to training crime scene investigators in modern 3D documentation techniques, she led the introduction of the CAVE system at the LKA Baden-Württemberg in 2020 and is now a forensic expert specializing in 3D surveying and forensic visualization.
