Dr. Radoslaw Zajdel
I am a geodesist who graduated from Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences (UPWr, Poland) in 2017. In 2021, I obtained my Ph.D. in satellite geodesy with a thesis entitled Determination of Global Geodetic Parameters Using the GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo Satellite Systems. I am currently employed at UPWr in Poland as an Assistant Professor and work as a researcher at the Geodetic Observatory Pecný in the Czech Republic, where I coordinate the implementation of the MSCA-COFUND MERIT Postdoctoral Programme.
I developed my scientific and academic experience within international research groups, including the Astronomical Institute of the University of Bern in Switzerland, the German Aerospace Center in Germany, and the GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences in Germany.
My research interests focus on the analysis of GNSS data, with particular emphasis on precise orbit determination and the monitoring of natural phenomena within the Earth system using GNSS-derived products. I exploit the benefits of multi-GNSS constellations and contribute to the development and assessment of emerging navigation systems such as Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS. My expertise also includes investigating the role of global geodetic observing techniques in the realization of terrestrial reference frames and strengthening the links between geodesy and Earth sciences.
