Dr. Peter Bauer

Peter Bauer is Assistant Professor for Photogrammetry at Graz University of Technology. In 2024, he finished his PhD using virtual reality and digital twin approaches to enhance geodetic monitoring. His current work focuses on the monitoring of natural phenomena (such as rock glaciers or landslides) and heritage sites using terrestrial cameras, UAVs and terrestrial laser scanners. Furthermore, he has been elected as the chair of the FIG Commission 6 on Engineering Surveys for the upcoming term (2027–2023).
