My name is Dmytro Makarenko, Chairman of the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre (StateGeoCadastre).

The organization I am representing is a central executive body, the activities of which are directed and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agricultural of Ukraine and which  is responsible for implementation of state policy in the field of national spatial data infrastructure, topographic, geodetic and cartographic activities, land relations, land management, State Land Cadastre,land use control and land-related administartive services.

I have an extensive professional experience in the field of land relations, cartography, geodesy and geospatial data infrastructure and am a successful public servant with more than 15 years of experience. During my professional career I held different management positions at various levels and directly coordinated and participated in the implementation of reforms, launch of digital services, deregulation and work with international partners. 
In 2014 I joined the StateGeoCadastre's team, where acted on various positions and was responsible for and supported the policy formulation of National Spatial Data Infrastructure in Ukraine, initiated and managed numerous international projects in geospatial data, land management and capacity development. 
During this period, I was responsible also for the international representation of Ukraine on behalf of the StateGeoCadastre, participating and sharing of the Ukraine’s progress and experience in the geospatial data development.
Starting from Oct 2020 as a member of NSDI developers team from State Enterprise "Research Institute of Geodesy and Cartography" supported the ongoing geospatial process in the country which resulted in launching of the NSDI National Geoportal.
Also I acted as NSDI Advisor to international experts’ team (USAID Agro Program and Norway Mapping Authority) and provided the consultancy in the geospatial sector, particularly in conducting the IGIF assessment and country action plan for Ukraine and contributed to the agenda of high level NSDI Council in Ukraine.
