Prof. Dr. Benedikt Frielinghaus
Prof. Dr. Benedikt Frielinghaus is Professor of Cadastre and Land Management at Bochum University of Applied Sciences. Prior to his appointment, he worked for more than ten years as a self-employed, publicly appointed cadastral surveyor in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Drawing on this extensive professional experience, his teaching and research combine in-depth practical expertise with innovative technologies for the surveying profession.
His current research focuses on the digitalization and automation of administrative verification processes. At INTERGEO, Prof. Dr. Frielinghaus will present a keynote lecture entitled "Application of Artificial Intelligence for the Automated Verification of Cadastral Survey Documents: The Case of North Rhine-Westphalia." In this presentation, he will demonstrate how AI-based methods can sustainably improve quality assurance and increase the efficiency of geospatial data processing in practical applications.
