In an era of rapid urban transformation and increasing climate volatility, the demand for high-fidelity geospatial data has evolved beyond traditional mapping. Modern decision-making requires environments that are not only visually realistic but also physically consistent and reactive. This presentation explores the industrial evolution of Airbus Defence and Space’s 3D portfolio, demonstrating a tiered approach to solving complex environmental and operational challenges. We present a solution-oriented portfolio designed to bridge the gap between raw satellite acquisition and actionable digital twins: - High-Resolution Foundations: Delivering foundational Digital Surface and Terrain Models (DSM/DTM) at 0.5m GSD, providing the sub-metric precision necessary for accurate ground-clearance and line-of-sight computations. - Scalable 3D Mesh: Advanced automated reconstruction techniques that transform Very High Resolution (VHR) satellite imagery into reliable 3D models, offering a reliable middle round between raw data and immersive environments. - Integrated 3D Simulation Environments: The next frontier in our portfolio. By co-extracting terrain, semantic landcover (24 classes), and 3D objects from a single correlated source - specifically leveraging the Pléiades Neo constellation and the upcoming CO3D constellation - we ensure perfect internal consistency between all layers. This evolution is driven by the need for actionable insights. By strictly relying on real-world data rather than procedural generation, we provide the trustworthy foundations required for the next generation of calculations: urban thermal simulation, flood resilience modeling, and mission rehearsal in complex terrains. Our AI-driven pipeline enables the rapid generation of these massive datasets, while adhering to OGC standards such as 3D Tiles and Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF (COG) to ensure seamless interoperability. Looking forward, this ecosystem is designed to support evolving the diversity of industry requirements, with additional standard formats like OGC CDB or MIMs plus AOI currently being prepared for future catalog integration.
