Germany is becoming more digital, faster, and more sovereign, with GeoIT technologies like Digital Twins, BIM, Cloud, and Artificial Intelligence converging. Digital processes are becoming simpler and faster. The presentation shows, using current examples from administration, business, and science, how AI in particular is already changing the current possibilities of using geodata, helping to break down barriers to access geodata and information, improve predictions, unlock previously unused data, enhance metadata, and speed up planning, especially when modernizing public infrastructures.
