Closing the loop: From authoritative data to systems of agents
The geospatial industry has spent decades building increasingly precise digital representations of the physical world. These ‘systems of record’ are evolving into ‘systems of action’, where digital insights are guiding and automating work in the real world. Agentic AI now points toward a third stage: ‘Systems of agents’ that can interpret context, coordinate decisions and actions, and learn from the outcomes. This creates a continuously evolving loop between the physical and digital worlds, with each improving the other.
